The Centre for Cinema and Media Studies (CIMS) concentrates on the societal role of media culture in spreading tastes, values and ideology. Starting from a critical perspective, the research group argues that media are crucial forums in society for the struggle around or negotiation of meanings. Research is on contemporary phenomena, as well as it is historically oriented.
